How useful is DNA in uncovering stories of our Revolutionary War ancestors? As genealogists incorporate genetic evidence into lineage research, DNA is proving to be a powerful tool for bridging gaps in the historical record. This session explores how different types of DNA testing can support research reaching back to the 18th century. Along the way, we will follow the story of a kidnapped boy who escaped and fought under General Washington, showing how DNA can help bring long-forgotten lives back into focus.
